Yummy chocolate pancakes! Can also be made as an omelette or scrambled!

Beautiful Water Meditation

The other day I went for an early morning run…it’s still pretty cold here, so the snow was just melting and the pavements were clear. I ran up the hill and stopped at a park. There was a little stream that had turned into a gushing monsoon tunnel. It sounded amazing, so peaceful and quite and yet so loud. I sat on a bench by the gushing water and meditated on the music it was making. Beautiful. I did Reiki and it balanced my whole day!

Finding a routine

So now my exams are coming up and I need a routine for success.I always look, feel and perform my best when I sleep, eat, study & exercise in balance.

I’m being very good with my eating and yesterday I did a 10km run. I slept like a baby right after that and feel super refreshed this morning.

Even though I still have classes, I have most of the afternoon and evening to hit the books.

I promised my self to always go to bed before 10.30-11.00pm so that a get minimum 7 hours sleep.

Aside from that I take my vitamins to make sure I’m not deprived of anything. I try not to eat too much because then you need a nap to digest a huge meal. Just enough to be full and of the right things and I’m all set.

Chillin’ with Tibor the Beta fish and the catch of the day @ Stazie’s aquarium in beautiful Budapest!

Half-Marathon Update!

Not good news I’m afraid. My cold happened to get worse before it got better and because my Thesis defence was so close I couldn’t risk getting really ill…I skipped the run:( It was a very hard decision and very sad because I have been training for months, I did my Sugar-free Challenge and managed a couple of weeks and I love running. Plus it was a gloriously sunny day on Sunday!

Oh well, I am fit and now recovered so I can do it for pleasure!

My thesis defence went really well and now I am in Budapest for a little city break as a treat! Hopefully I will get some great photos etc. x

Little Remedies for Good Health

So, last night I had my last run with Ellen and Mailaine who are also running on Sunday! I felt good and strong and can’t wait!

Last night however, I went to bed sneezing and this morning got up with a full blown cold! I am taking lots of vitamins and some medicine and nice smelling things to open my nostrils again…hopefully I will be back on form again in a few days! I will also use Reiki to speed up my healing!

It’s really important not only when you are sick, to hydrate yourself well and make sure you get all your vitamins and minerals! Atm I love taking dis-solvable vitamins. They make my water taste great and keep my skin, hair, nails and all the systems in my body in top condition! Yay!

When I do occasionally get a cold instead of heavily medicating I like to use a mixture of light medicine and herbal therapies. Right now I am taking Echinacea which helps boost the immune system and has an anti-cold/flu effect!

I’ll keep you updated! x

Blah

This post is named as such because I have so much to say.

I have been stressed. I have doubted myself this week, both academically and athletically. But then today I had a run and I realized I am prepared for this half-marathon! I can’t wait to do it and to go to the thermal baths afterwards!

I handed in my thesis yesterday. It feels good. I am proud of my work! I was afraid when I was editing it, that it wouldn’t be good enough etc., but now it’s printed and I have the defense next week I am feeling strong!

My eating habits are good, I have the occasional treat and I am still making my delicious smoothies!

Life is in balance. I have an inner peace inside that is becoming more and more apparent. Of course I still have my weak moments, but my faith, logic and will gets me through it all.

Life is great. Don’t accept anything less! But when ruin does come about, accept it with strength, stillness and Grace, for it leads to greater transformation!

Queen Alexandra’s Birdwing Butterfly…. A butterfly is the symbol of transformation. We are continuously transforming on a macro scale and a micro scale. I thought this image would depict the beauty of that constant energy flow.
